Purpose

These terms govern sales from this site of antiques, vintage and design — typically unique, often second-hand pieces, offered by Benoît de Moffarts (Forest, Brussels).

Price and availability

Prices are shown VAT included in euros on the listing, or “on request”. A piece may be available, reserved or sold. A sale is concluded only after payment is confirmed (card, PayPal, or cash on collection) or a quote is accepted for a bulky item.

Order and payment

The online cart allows payment via Stripe and/or PayPal, or a hold to pay in cash at Forest pickup. In that case the piece is reserved until the stated deadline (typically 6 pm the next day, skipping Sunday); after that it is for sale again, with no deposit. Some furniture requires a shipping quote first. Pickup at the shop (Chaussée d’Alsemberg 344, 1190 Forest) or EU delivery according to published zones (Brussels-Capital often cheaper than the rest of Belgium).

Retention of title

Goods remain the seller’s property until paid in full. Risk passes on Forest pickup or under the rules applicable to delivery.

Condition

Second-hand pieces are sold as described on the listing (wear, possible restoration). Photos and dimensions help assess the object; a shop visit is recommended for furniture.
